Avoid being trapped by the limited results of problem solving!

Building on, & refining, your Best Results works enormously better. Yes,

You, your

Group, & your

Company

already have successes (from barely surviving, up through satisfying success), employing your strengths – all of which you can refine to become even more valuable & useful to you & people who count on you.

Building on your bests.

Your personal, group, & company, "Bests" happen when you apply & refine your natural talents to produce & fine-tune Results.

When you network & integrate everyone's useful Best Results, Plus's (such as emerging enriched effectiveness & efficiency, breakthroughs, etc.) multiply.

Samples for you to experience briefly.

Below, for you to use wherever needed in building your Best Results Plus, are a few of the powerful questions I refined from over 15 specialities.

When you are thinking &-or feeling that a situation is horrible:
  1. How come things are not worse? (or more specifically:)
    1. What has been keeping this situation from becoming worse, or being only as bad as it is/was?
    2. How can what (above) has been working at least a little bit, be strengthened so it works even better?
    3. What Value(s) will be strengthened by this working better?
    4. If this Value happened as much as it possibly could, what might that mean for the people involved? – & what would be even more important?

When are you more enthused about really digging into some project:
What strengths & skills did you call on to support this Value as well as you could?
• to get back to where you were supposed to be; or
• to move forward toward implementing some especially important Value?
As you may notice, these & other Best Results questions emphasize moving:
• TO refining & expanding the use of already-tested strengths.
• FROM trying to fix what is broken,

What Value (for example, a behavior, principle, &-or belief) is especially important for you: ...at work?, ...at home?, &-or ...for you personally?
When have you done an excellent job supporting this value? – & whether or not you supported it as well as you want to – What ideal intentions of supporting it well did you have? How did you manage to support this Value as well as you could?; & more specifically:

Integrating this supportive approach into all of a firm's functions most frequently produces great profit, creativity, flexibility, dedication, & a myriad of other wonderful effects.

I encourage you to give any of these questions a try in your real life & let me know how they work for you.

(For research & various applications of this general principle, see, for example: The Enthusiastic Employee, Sirota, Mischkind, & Meltzer, 2005; & 12: The Elements of Great Managing, Wagner & Harter, 2006.)

Because leaders set the context direction for the whole organization,
• Individual Executives,
•Executive teams, &
• Boards,
are usually the most effective & efficient start, followed by eventual expansion to everyone else.

(However, capitalizing on your Best Results Plus can start anywhere & create some pervasive, productive, implementation).

As a leader, being supported by a Best Results Plus appreciative approach is likely to re-energize your drive to become a more effective Catalyst, Co-creator, & Synergist, leader – as detailed in Leadership Agility: Five Levels of Mastery for Anticipating & Initiating Change. (which I think is the most-useful current application of decades of research. Joiner & Josephs, 2007, pp. 6-11.)

I encourage you to become even more valuable & useful to your company by building on how far you've already come.
